These days, the main activity of the Waltham ARA is using and maintaining our five repeaters on Prospect Hill in Waltham.  The repeater range from the 50 MHz band to the 900 MHz band.  Our "flagship" repeater on 146.64 MHz now features Echolink, and supports experimentation with Apco P25 digital voice communication.  Click here for more info.

The club has monthly meetings from September through June.  An informal supper gathering at a local restaurant precedes the meeting.  Click here for details.

Field Day

The club has participated in the ARRL's annual Field Day on an irregular basis since 1941.  Due to logistical difficulties, the last FD from "our hill" (Prospect Hill in Waltham) was in 1998.  But in 2008, we found a new home - we operated in partnership with the Clay Center Amateur Radio Club on their school grounds in Brookline.  The two clubs plan to do it again this year.  Click here for more FD info.
