Dear WARA Friends,
We were informed this morning by Nhi Donovan that her husband Andy, WA1GEP, passed away yesterday. As most of you know, Andy had been suffering from lung cancer, despite never being a smoker, asbestos worker, etc. Although Nhi wanted us to inform Andy's ham friends, the memorial service will be private, family one. If you want to send a sympathy card to Andy's family:

Nhi had recently requested a photo of Andy related to ham radio, which was a big part of his life. Jim N1HCF supplied a photo of Andy doing Net Control at a bike race, 10 years ago. The boy in the photo is his elder son Adam, now N1RYD and a student at MIT. I posted Jim's photo on the wara64 Yahoo Group:
